The original shala location closed its doors in January 2025 following the Eaton Fire. Michelle currently lives in Laguna Beach with active plans to rebuild her home and future shala in Altadena, California. ✨

Michelle Song 송진아

Founder and director of Ashtanga Yoga Narayani, Michelle’s love and dedication to this system and approach to teaching is rooted in deep devotion to nature. She began a daily practice and study of Ashtanga Yoga under the guidance and direction of her teachers Baba Hari Dass, Noah Williams, Sharath Jois & Sharmila Desai. She had the opportunity to study for several years in Mysore, India since 2016 and continues to study through third series with her primary teacher Noah Williams in Sapphire, North Carolina. Michelle was authorized to teach through the primary and intermediate series by Sharath Jois in 2021.
